Like the ten spies, anxiety can paralyze us, causing us to not even try to overcome challenges. Let us choose to be like Caleb—trusting that what God promises, He will accomplish. “Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.” (Psalm 60:12)

Jesus did not have to touch the leper to heal him. He often healed with a word, yet He touched the leper, who was untouchable by other people, to extend mercy and compassion. Jesus demonstrated that sometimes, without a word - love is expressed by a simple touch, a hug, a hand gently resting on a shoulder.
Jesus’ most faithful followers were also some of the most unlikely and transcended social norms and stigmas. It was revolutionary to allow women to be disciples. There were women from different social classes and life situations.
Often the women who turn to us for help are grieving from fear, rejection, broken lives, and disappointments. May God reveal His deep compassion, through our team and His Spirit, to each one as Jesus showed to the widow of Nain.
God has a plan, considers and prepares for those YET TO BE CREATED. We don’t enter God’s mind when we are conceived in the womb, rather when we are conceived in His mind and heart.
In this episode, we visit Be'ad Chaim in Israel and meet the organization's director, Sandy Shoshani. For decades, the organization has supported women facing crisis pregnancies with practical assistance, compassionate care, and guidance—and has helped save the lives of more than 6,000 babies.
Sharon Marcus served as a faithful counselor with Be’ad Chaim for twenty-five years, first in Haifa and then in Jerusalem. Hers was a life defined by service, kindness, mercy, and compassion. Over the course of her years with us, she saved approximately 700 babies.

During our recent 2026-2027 Be’ad Chaim calendar photo shoot, it was remarkable to see mothers who once called our hotline, adamant about having an abortion, now joyfully competing for more photos with their babies.
Even in the darkest times, new life brings light and hope. Despite the missiles and sirens, our team has worked tirelessly to ensure pregnant women and new mothers are able to provide their babies’ basic needs.
A time for war, a time for peace—and a time to be born. Despite the war, new pregnancies continue, and as women continue to question whether they should abort or protect their child, Be’ad Chaim continues to help. As I write this letter, missile alarms and attacks continue throughout the day and night.
God’s love extends beyond our cultural and religious borders. Love knows no boundaries. Mother Inevet, who had considered abortion and chose life for her daughter Oriya (which means “God is my light”), expressed what unconditional love meant to her:
Only God can meet all the needs of other people, but we can all be used by God to show His love. Even the smallest acts of kindness and love can save lives. Our counselors are trained to be compassionate, caring listeners and to provide words of encouragement and understanding.
Today, the first day of 2026, we look back at the wonderful things that God has done in the past year, and we rejoice and are very glad. Nearly five hundred babies celebrated their first birthdays with cakes, balloons and uncountable hugs and kisses.
Last month, we visited government offices and met with the Welfare Department on the national level. We offered practical help for the many needy, pregnant women whom they serve.
Your perseverance in prayer for us matters! Time and time again, women call us desperate for an abortion, only to change their minds after a conversation with their counselor and MUCH PRAYER. I am deeply grateful for the thousands around the world who pray for the mothers and babies in Israel and support us in love and faithfulness.
Matthew names five women in his genealogy of Jesus: three widowed women, a prostitute, and a young, unwed mother. These women were miraculously used to bring the promised Messiah. The history of our work in Be’er Sheva is also a miracle.
