Shani The Single Mother

Sep 25, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Shani is a single mother, she has a six-year-old boy and now the newborn Tina.  When Shani discovered she was pregnant again her partner was very much against the pregnancy and insisted that she had an abortion. Shani, however, decided to keep her baby and then her partner rejected her and left.  Shani now found herself alone and desperate.

Thankfully she then turned to Be’ad Chaim for help and we were very happy indeed to be there for her and offer loving support. It was then through your very generous sponsorship Shani was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her baby would need.

On the 24th of August, Shani gave birth to a precious baby boy, she named him Tina. It was a vacuum birth, the umbilical cord was wrapped around little Tina and his heartbeat went down. However, Praise God, everything went well. Sweet Tina then had jaundice and had to stay in the hospital for a while and his circumcision had to be postponed until he was one month old. Shani is now feeling better but still not back to full strength.

She is currently on maternity leave and will soon start receiving financial help from the government to cover some of her rent.

Shani’s older son was very excited about having a new little brother but now he has arrived he is very jealous.  He says he does not want the new baby.  Having had his mother’s full attention for six years makes it hard for him now.  Please pray he will be able to accept his baby brother and that they will grow to be good friends.

Praise The Lord Tina’s father has visited and seen his new little son and seems interested in him and insisted on being at the circumcision ceremony.  He is also wanting to be friends with Shani again too. Shani is very happy to give him another chance, please pray this works out well for the whole family.

Shani is so deeply grateful for all the help and support she and her family have received. It really made such a huge difference, she is very thankful indeed.
