Ravit - Ohad

Jul 07, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Ravit was in a very unstable place in her life when she discovered she was pregnant. She had been a victim of abuse in the past, and as a result of this has lots of fears.  She had separated from her boyfriend, who is the father of her child, and wanted to have an abortion. She just did not see how she could possibly face being pregnant and becoming a single parent.  She had always struggled with new things, and this was a big new thing.

When Ravit first met with one of our wonderful counselors she was very scared and anxious. The counselor shared with her about Jesus and His love and sacrifice for her.  She prayed for her and they read together from Isaiah 63. Ravit was then able to deeply accept this truth and since then she has so much more peace and hope.  Ravit said that after the meeting she had the strength to continue and to choose life for her baby. It was then through your very generous sponsorship that she was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her baby would need.

During the pregnancy Ravit and her boyfriend reconciled and now they are back  living together.  Even though they are not married  she refers to him as her husband.  When Ravit was going through hard days she would call her counselor who was able to encourage her and also challenge her to believe and trust in God.  Ravit was very brave and each time chose to trust again and again.

On the 22nd of May 2019 Ravit gave birth to a precious little boy weighing 1.700 Kg. Ravit named him Ohad (Meaning- Gift from God) (Meaning alive). He was born at 34 weeks.  It was an emergency C-section, due to lack of amniotic fluid.  When Ohad reached 2 Kg he was released home.  Ravit has been  trying very hard to nurse her baby as well as expressing milk and giving it with a bottle. Ravit has now recovered and she feels much better.

Ravit is a slightly hyperactive person, and sometimes she can be very stressed about being a mother. Please pray for her to continue building a beautiful and strong bond with her precious boy.  Her partner loves little Ohad and he is so happy he can be part of their lives. He works very hard and provides for the family.

Ravit is receiving disability assistance from the national insurance. She is considered emotionaly dissabled because of the traumatic abuse and rape she has been through in her past.   She is so deeply grateful for all the love and support she has received through Operation Moses.  I really has made such a huge difference to her.

Thank you very  much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Ravit and her precious family.
