Odelya - Amit

Jul 02, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Odelya is a lovely brave woman who emigrated from Russia in 1997 when she was 10 years old.  She is a single mother to 4 precious children aged 11, 7, 6 and now the newborn baby.  Odelya lives together with her mother  in an apartment  that is subsidized by the government.  Her three older children are from the same father. They are separated but he does pays her alimony and comes to visit them often.

After the separation Odelya entered into a new relationship and soon discovered she was pregnant again. She was devestated and wanted to have an abortion. Raising  three children as a single mother was already very challenging. She was battling with the thought of aborting for a long time, but she just couldn’t have peace at the thought of  killing her own unborn child - these were her own words.  On the other hand she was receiving a lot of pressure from everyone to abort.  Her new partner didn’t want to accept the child and just left her.

One of Odelya’s friends told her about Be’ad Chaim.  Thankfully she contacted us and we were more than happy to help her during this very lonely and difficult time.  Odelya chose life for her daughter. She said  “I made the decision and I am very happy about it!”

Through your very generous sponsorship Odelya was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her baby would need.

On the 3rd May 2019 Odelya gave birth to a precious little girl, she named her Amit (Meaning- Please Lord). The birth went well and both mother and baby are healthy and have recovered. Odelya’s older children love their little sister. Odelya now seems so very positive and grateful saying,  “She is so pleased she can have a big family and can look forward to many grandchildren in the future.”

Odelya is so deeply grateful for all the love and support she has received during such a crucial time in her life.  It really made such a  huge difference.

Odelya is not in contact with her ex boyfriend and he doesn’t know she has given birth. Please pray for him to take responsibility and support his daughter.

Thank you very  much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Odelya and her precious family.
