Mirit- Tomer

Jul 30, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Mirit is married and has 6 children—the oldest is 11 and the youngest is 1.5 years old. In the past, Mirit had cancer of the cervix, but praise God she recovered from that. When Mirit discovered she was pregnant again she got very stressed and wanted to have an abortion. With already having six children at home she didn’t know how she would be able to cope. Mirit’s husband had an unstable job, and in fact very recently lost it. As a result of this, they have many debts. All this added a lot of pressure to their situation.

Mirit then found out about Be’ad Chaim and contacted one of our counselors to receive advice. She shared her struggles and fears and our wonderful counselor was very happy to listen advise and offer help. As a result of this Mirit and her husband decided to choose life and keep their baby. Praise God!

On the 25th of June 2019, Mirit gave birth to a beautiful little girl. They named her Tomer (meaning oasis and beautiful/ lovely). Mirit stayed at home during the contractions, preparing the rest of her children for the day and then went to the hospital. The birth went well and both mother and baby are healthy and doing well.

These first few weeks with a newborn and other young children to care for have not been easy.  Despite the challenges, though, Mirit seems very happy and positive. Please pray for grace for this coming season and also for Mirit’s husband to find a good-paying, stable job.

Mirit is deeply grateful for being part of the Operation Moses project, she said:  “Thank you so much, I can’t even explain how your support has been so tremendously helpful for us, with the vouchers I can buy everything I need for me daughter. Thank you from the depth of my heart”.

Thank you very much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Mirit and her family.
