Miri and Baby Girl

Sep 25, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Miri is married but sadly her husband was sent to jail recently for selling drugs. Up until a month ago, their relationship seemed to be going well but recently Miri made the decision to ask him for a divorce and this process will start soon.

When Miri discovered she was pregnant she wanted to have an abortion, she just could not imagine how she would be able to cope with having a child on her own.  Miri then heard about Bead Chaim and contacted us. We were very happy indeed to be able to help and support Miri during this process, and thankfully she then decided to keep her baby.

It was then through your very generous sponsorship Miri was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her baby would need.

On the 3rd of August Miri gave birth to a precious little girl weighing 2.800 Kg. She named her Tal. It was a very difficult and painful birth and Miri is still struggling with a lot of pain. Little Tal is feeding well and gaining weight. Miri did try to breastfeed but she didn’t succeed and so now she is giving Tal formula.

Miri loves her little princess and says that she can’t even believe she ever considered wanting to have an abortion. She is so very  happy that she chose life for her little girl.

Miri is presently on maternity leave but will need to go back to work when it’s finished. However, she doesn’t feel ready to leave Tal and so she is thinking that she might quit her job for the time being so she can stay home with her daughter. Miri’s father is helping her financially and her mother is often helping to take care of sweet Tal. Miri’s parents are separated but she is in a good relationship with both of them. Currently, she lives close to her mother in an apartment she used to rent with her husband. However,  now that he is in jail she is struggling to keep up with the rent and she might need to move into a smaller place.

Little Tal’s father doesn’t seem to be very interested in her. And his parents are not involved at all.

Miri shared her deep gratitude for all the help she has received. It really has meant so much to her, and indeed gave life to her little daughter.

Thank you very much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Miri and her precious daughter Tal.
