Maria is a single mother

Sep 22, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Maria is a single mother who suffers from post-trauma.  Many different situations and places can make her feel very nervous. She regularly takes medication for this. Maria has had a miscarriage in the past, and when she found out she was pregnant again she wanted to have an abortion, in fact, her own mother threw her out of her own home when she found out Maria was pregnant.  Being single and suffering from post-trauma she really didn't believe she could go through pregnancy on her own.

Praise God, Maria's wonderful mother-in-law, even though she knew Maria and her son were separated, decided to help her. She insisted on Maria keeping the baby, promising that she would do all she could to assist and help her. It was through her mother-in-law that Maria heard about Be’ad Chaim and decided to contact us. One of our wonderful counselors was then able and happy to assist and help her.

It was through your very generous sponsorship that Maria was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her baby would need.

On the 12th of June 2019, Maria gave birth to a precious little boy weighing 2.800 Kg. She named him Elrom (Meaning: God is great). It was a very difficult birth, Maria was in the hospital for 2 days with contractions with no progress at all. Finally, the heartbeat of the baby started slowing down and the doctors decided to do vacuum. Praise God both mother and baby have now recovered and are healthy and doing well.

Maria is living with her mother-in-law, and as she promised, she is giving Maria help in every way she can. Maria is receiving a disability allowance and is currently unable to work. She is hoping to be able to rent her own little apartment soon as she does not feel very comfortable living in the same house as her ex-husband.

Maria told me that she is so very grateful to have her precious son but she does sometimes feel overwhelmed and finds herself crying a  lot. Please pray for this precious young mom who really wants to be a good mother to her son, pray for full healing and restoration.

Maria is deeply grateful for all the love and support she has received from Bead Chaim and her generous donor.
