Irena - Omer

Jul 02, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Irena is a lovely lady who  emigrated from Ukraine many years ago.  As a child she went to a boarding school.  She is now divorced and has three children, Tamir (5), Lian (3) and the newborn baby.

When Irena discovered she was pregnant again she felt very overwelmed and wanted to have an abortion.  She is a single mother with two young children and also has crippling debts.  She really didn’t want to bring another child into a situation like that.

Praise God Irena was referred to Be’ad Cahim through a social worker. After speaking to one of our wonderful counselors she reconsidered her decision.  Irena said  “Something within me chose to keep the baby, and today I am very happy about this decision”.  It was through your very generous sponsorship that Irena was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her baby would need.

On the 1st May 2019 Irena gave birth to a precious little boy, she named him Omer. It was a natural birth and everything went very well. Irena has recovered and is feeling much better. Omer is a beautiful little boy, he is feeding and growing well.

Omer’s father recognizes him as his son and is coming to visit. Unfortunately he doesn’t pay alimony or support Irena in any way. Natlia does have some support from her family which is very helpful for her.  She is also receiving support from National Insurance  and lives in a house subsidized by the government, which means she has to pay a very minimum rental.

Irena shared her deep gratitude for being part of the Operation Moses project, it really has meant so much to her, and is making such a huge difference.

Thank you very  much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Irena and her precious family.
