A Lovely Single Woman and Her Baby

Hila is a lovely single woman, she was adopted when she was 13 years old. Hila was living  with her boyfriend and at the time they separated she was pregnant. Her boyfriend didn’t want the baby so he kicked Hila out of the house. At first Hila wanted to have an abortion as she was feeling very vulnerable emotionally and her financial situation was not very good.  She could not see how she could possibly cope with a baby on her own. 

Thankfully Hila then heard about Be’ad Chaim through a friend.  She made contact with us and one of our wonderful counselors was able to give her the love and support needed during this very difficult time. Hila then decided that she would keep her baby.  It was through your very generous sponsorship Hila was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with all the furniture she would need for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials she would need. Hila is so very grateful for the support she received at such a crucial and difficult  time.

The pregnancy was very difficult and Hila was hospitalized throughout the whole pregnancy. She suffered from excessive nausea and vomiting (Hyperemesis Gravidarum), and lost 14 Kg. For that reason the baby in her womb suffered from a slow heartbeat. In week 38 on the 16th April 2019 Hila gave birth to a precious baby girl, she named her Shir. It was an emergency C-section. Precious Shir was born very little and for the first 2 weeks she didn’t gain any weight, but praise God they have now changed her formula and she is doing much better. Hila has recovered well too, and she feels so blessed to have Shir in her life. 

Hila is not in contact with Shir’s father but he did come to meet his daughter and has accepted her officially so his name is on her birth certificate.  Hila is hoping for the relationship between precious Shir and her dad to get better as time goes by.  

Hila is Receiving support from National insurance which is very helpful. Sometimes her brothers come to help around the house but she mainly has to do everything on her own. Please pray for grace and favour over this coming season for Hila and her beautiful daughter. And for Shir’s father to have a heart for his daughter, to love and support her.
