Hannah and David

May 14, 2020 • By Be'ad Chaim

Hannah is a young married mum with two children aged 4 and 3. She works full time but also loves to spend time with her two precious toddlers.

When Hannah found out that she was pregnant with her third child, she was happy and told her husband. We don't know the details, but from what she told me, we know that throughout her pregnancy, they had some difficult issues in the family.

Her relationship with her husband was not in a good place, and they were very close to getting a divorce. She told me that sometimes he would be violent towards her and hit her, and she even moved out into a women’s shelter in Tiberias for a while. For most of her pregnancy she lived with her family and they helped her take care of her two children.

Thankfully Hannah heard about Be’ad Chaim and as soon as she made contact with us, one of our wonderful counselors was able to give her the love and support she needed.  She has particularly valued the support her counselor was able to give her during this difficult time.

It was thanks to your generous sponsorship that Hannah was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This supplied her with a crib and sheets, baby bath, stroller, and the promise of monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials she would need for the new baby. She really is so very grateful for all this help.

On the 30th of March Hannah gave birth to a precious baby boy and named him David. She gave birth at 41 weeks, and baby David weighed 3.520 Kg.

Hannah had a good and healthy pregnancy, and the birth was natural and now she and baby David are both doing very well. Hannah told me that her husband does come and help with the older two children since the baby was born, and she has been very surprised by his calm behavior. However, she is still not certain about how their future together will work out. Please keep her in your prayers.
