Gil - Baby Dan

Mar 16, 2020 • By Be'ad Chaim

Gil is a tough 21-year-old young woman. She is known to the ministry of social affairs for having mental issues and receives financial support from them. When we talked she said she felt her life was a mess.

Gil has a one-year-old son and used to live with her mom. However, when Gil’s mother found out that she was pregnant again, she made Gil's life a misery, and on one occasion even called the police! Gil then decided to leave her mother's house immediately and moved in with her best friend. Her friend has three of her own children and is also struggling, so Gil is really hoping to find a cheap apartment for herself very soon.

Gil was convinced that her only option was to have an abortion. She was afraid of having another child to raise and was already concerned that she was not doing a very good job with her first child.

Thankfully, Gil heard about Be’ad Chaim and as soon as she made contact with us, one of our wonderful counselors was able to give her the love and support she needed. She was then able to take time to consider her options, and Praise God, she decided to choose life for her baby.

It was then thanks to your generous sponsorship Gil was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project.  This supplied her with a crib and sheets, baby bath, and stroller, and the promise of monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials she would need for the new baby. She is so very grateful for all this help, it made such a difference to her situation.

On the 22nd of January 2020, Gil gave birth to a baby boy and named him Dan. It was a natural delivery and Dan is a lovely healthy little baby. Gil is feeding him with formula and she told me he loves to fall asleep in his mom’s arms.

Please pray for Gil. She feels very alone and has no family to help her or friends to support her.
