Dana WITH BABY GIRL Hagar

Aug 27, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Hagar just celebrated her first birthday, albeit in a very subdued way. Her family is struggling financially and can't afford to spend money on an occasion that Hagar won't even remember. Hagar is, however, much loved. She is just now started to "sprout' teeth and her gums are quite sore. Since Dana has never gone through this with a child before, and her mother-in-law isn't too helpful, she is kind of at a loss as to how to handle Hagar's discomfort. Hagar weighs 7.5 kg, which is not bad for a relatively small weight baby at birth. Dana says she has a ravenous appetite so she is not worried about Hagar's weight. Hagar crawls backwards (not forwards) and sits upright, but has not ventured into the realm of standing on 2 feet, yet. She is beginning to receive physical therapy to strengthen her shoulder muscles, since the doctor detected some weakness there.

Dana and her husband are still living with his parents, who have since gone slowly into debt, trying to support Dana and her husband. He has still not been able to settle into a job, but is not giving up just yet. He is now going to try his hand at being a waiter, since he is good with people. In the meantime, Dana has gotten pregnant again. She is almost to her 3rd trimester and doesn't know how to cope with her situation. She is very thankful for the help she received this past year and would no doubt appreciate continued prayer for expanding family.
