Yonit's Story

Yonit's Story

Yonit is a 28 year old native Israeli from a traditional Jewish family. She was married at age 16 and has had  four children , ages 5 to 11, since then.

Several years ago, Yonit and her youngest child were injured in a terrorist bus bombing. This incident was traumatic for the family, and her husband, who had a drinking problem, became an alchoholic.

A short time later, Yonit became pregnant. Being from a religious background, she had always believed that abortion is wrong, but her parents  pressured her to have an abortion. She felt trapped by their arguments. After the abortion, Yonit  divorced her husband but still sees him.

Yonit is now 8 months pregnant. Several months ago, she went to her doctor considering another abortion . Waiting, she found a small flier on the table  describing baby development and giving the Be'ad Chaim hotline number. She met with the counselor and has decided to keep her baby. She says," Be'ad Chaim" has changed my life. I pray that every woman will keep her baby."

Be'ad Chaim is helping with the expenses of vitamins for Yonit and will provide  her with  PAS (post abortion syndrome )counseling to seek God's forgiveness for aborting her first child.
